dissolve Sexuality/Dilution
Generally speaking, Desmodo IL 1451 and esters (such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, 1-methoxypropyl acetate and 2-methyl ethyl ketone, etc.) and Good compatibility; also good compatibility with aromatic hydrocarbons (eg toluene, xylene, Solvesso® 100 and Shellsol® A), however, the storage stability of the formed solution must be tested. Incompatible with petroleum solvents. Alcohols can react with Desmodos IL 1451 and should not be used. Use only polyurethane grade solvents (<0.05% water). These solvents must be free of reactive contaminants. Long-term storage of solutions with low resin content will cause turbidity and precipitation.
Phase Capacitance
Desmophen IL 1451 is compatible with Desmophen® A 450, many polyester Desmophen grades and many alkyd resins and is also compatible with Mix with nitrocellulose. In terms of critical mixing, Desmodo IL 1451 is more compatible than standard TDI-polyisocyanurate products.
Desmodur IL 1451 can be blended with Desmodur L, Desmodur HL and Desmodur N grades. In individual cases, the compatibility of Desmodur IL 1451 with other formulation components must be tested.
Apply
The two-component polyurethane coating based on Desmodur IL 1451 is characterized by fast surface drying and easy sanding at the initial stage, which is most suitable for wood and furniture Industrial finishing. An isocyanate (NCO)/hydroxyl (OH) ratio of eg 0.5 to 0.7 is particularly recommended, depending on the reactivity and hardness of the polyol. If an NCO/OH ratio of 1:1 is used, Desmodur IL 1451 must be mixed with Desmodur L. In this case, the optimal mixing ratio of Desmodo L/IL 1451 must be adjusted to the polyol hardness and the desired drying time. Due to its low viscosity and high reactivity, Desmodo IL 1451 produces highly polymeric, clear or pigmented finishes that can be applied quickly in a few coats.
Save
Desmodos IL 1451 is sensitive to moisture. Therefore, it must be kept in the original airtight container. The recommended storage temperature is 0-30°C. Storage at higher temperatures will result in an increase in viscosity. Desmodos IL 1451 will remain stable for at least half a year if stored under suitable conditions.
Security Sex
Because it contains solvents and isocyanates, special care should be taken when handling this product.
This product is flammable, therefore, the container containing the product must be kept away from fire. Measures to prevent electrostatic interference should be taken, and the product must be handled in an explosion-proof workshop.
Avoid skin and eye contact with this product or inhalation of its vapor. It is recommended to wear safety goggles and protective gloves.
When spraying, respiratory organs must be protected from spray damage, so a respirator must be worn.
The content of diisocyanate monomer in this product is less than 0.15%, and the hazard of causing irritation when inhaled is very low. In individual cases, allergic reactions may occur.
