Solubility
Soluble in esters, ketones, and aromatics. In most cases, a mixture of esters and aromatics is used.
Application
Tolonate® D2 is especially used as a cross-linking agent for hydroxyl polymers, Polyester and polyacrylic polyols in particular for the preparation of one-component heat-curing polyurethane weatherable coatings with excellent mechanical properties combined with outstanding solvent, abrasion and chemical resistance. Usually,
Tolonate D2 is used in automotive OEM paint formulations, can and coil coatings and some general industrial coatings for metals. Curing conditions are typically 20 to 40 minutes at 140-160°C (285-305°F), or 30 to 35 seconds at 320°C.

Storage conditions and shelf life
At room temperature, Tolonate® D2 is not affected by moisture.
Under proper storage conditions at a temperature below 40°C, two years of storage in the original airtight packaging will generally not have any effect on the product.
