Product Introduction
Elvacite 4026 is a solid granular acrylate-based resin, which is used as a special additive resin for radiation-curing (UV or EB) coating inks. The latest polymer chemistry endows Elvacite 4026 with a unique UV-responsive large Molecular design, it is also widely used in radiation curing screen printing inks, wood coatings and plastic coatings.
The latest chemistry contained in Elvacite 4026 is a useful addition to those such as Elvacite 2028, 2013, 2927 which have been used for several years as “inert” resins in UV formulations.
More advantages from Elvacite 4026 Maintain the advantages gained with “inert” resins
(1)Faster curing speed >
(2) Improve chemical and solvent resistance (2) Enhance adhesion to the substrate and improve recoatability
(3) Reduce the viscosity of the formula (3) Improve the dispersion performance of pigments
(4) Improve the flexibility of the paint film
Application
Elvacite acrylate-based resin can partially replace the resin prepolymer in the formulation, but the partial substitution ratio should not be too high. For example, for the application in the formulation system based on CN 965 or Ebecry 245 and other polyurethane acrylates, see Chart 1: 50% of the resin prepolymer is replaced, and the others remain unchanged. This formula is suitable for paper substrates, the film thickness is 12um, and the curing light source is 80W/cm2 medium A mercury pressure lamp.
