White oil, also known as white mineral oil, is a highly refined mineral Oil. Colorless, tasteless, odorless, chemically inert and light-stable, with a basic molecular weight of 300-450. It is mainly composed of alkanes, cycloalkanes and a small amount of aromatic hydrocarbons with alkane side chains. White oil is generally produced from the lubricating oil fraction of low-sulfur paraffin-based crude oil or naphthenic low-wax crude oil as raw materials, using sulfonation or hydrogenation methods. The purpose is to remove various harmful substances and active substances such as aromatic hydrocarbons, nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur, etc. in the raw oil. Due to the increase in environmental awareness, the current requirements for the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, halogens, and heavy metals are getting higher and higher. The EU REACH regulations have specifically formulated 16 substances that are not allowed to be detected.

According to the current white oil industry standards, white oil is mainly divided into crude white oil, light white oil, industrial white oil, and cosmetic grade white oil. Oil, medical grade white oil and food grade white oil:

Light white oil:So-called light White oil is commonly known as solvent oil and dearomatized solvent oil. Using petroleum fractions and synthetic oil fractions as raw materials, the light white oil obtained through hydrorefining and precision fractionation is suitable for special equipment calibration, metal processing, daily chemicals and other industries.

Crude white oil: Crude white oil produced by the refining process of mineral oil, suitable as a raw material for the production of white oil finished products.

Industrial white oil: Industrial white oil produced by dewaxing, chemical refining or hydrogenation of petroleum lubricating oil fractions , suitable for use as oil for chemical fiber, aluminum processing, insecticide spray, rubber plasticization, etc.; also suitable for use as lubricating oil for textile machinery, precision instruments, and compressor sealing oil.

Cosmetic grade white oil: Cosmetic grade produced from petroleum lubricating oil fractions through dewaxing, chemical refining or hydrogenation. White oil is suitable for use as a raw material in the cosmetics industry, making hair lotions, hair oils, lip oils, skin care oils, etc.

Food-grade white oil: Food-grade white oil produced by dewaxing, chemical refining or hydrogenation of petroleum lubricating oil fractions White oil is suitable for lubrication of food industry processing equipment and can be used as a release agent for food processing.

Medical grade white oil: Medical grade white oil produced by dewaxing, chemical refining or hydrogenation of petroleum lubricating oil fractions. White oil is suitable for the pharmaceutical industry and can be used as an oral agent for the production of laxatives and a defoaming agent for the production of penicillin.

PS: New industrial white oil industry standard:

The current national standard for industrial white oil has been formulated for a long time. White oil grades are divided according to 40 kinematic viscosity; at the same time, white oil is divided into different categories according to different indicators such as pour point and color. Oils are divided into premium products and qualified products. It is understood that the new standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009, replacing SH/T 0006-2002 “Industrial White Oil”. The differences between the new standard and SH/T0006-2002 are mainly reflected in the following aspects:</strong
