Shandong Province Carbon Negative Industry Development Alliance was established

On October 14th, at Under the guidance of the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Shandong Radio and Television, Shandong Dongbo Holding Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Shanshui Cement Group Co., Ltd., Tongyuan Design Group Co., Ltd., and Shandong Guoshun Construction Group Co., Ltd. , Shandong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Shandong Building Materials Industry Association, and Shandong University jointly initiated the establishment of the “Shandong Carbon Negative Industry Development Alliance” at Shandong Tokyo Expo.

It is understood that Jingyun Taibo, as the co-organizer of this conference, is also a typical case of “carbon negative” and “green”. Its world’s first 10,000-ton carbon dioxide direct utilization industrial demonstration project will be officially put into operation in January 2023. The products it produces have obtained the country’s first full life cycle carbon footprint negative certificate, and are listed first in the “2023 Shandong Province Green and Low-Carbon Technology Achievements Catalog”.

According to conventional thinking, high efficiency means high costs. The new carbon mineralization CCUS technology developed by Jingyun Taibo breaks this convention and directly uses industrial exhaust gas containing a carbon dioxide concentration of 10% or more without the need for secondary purification. Each ton of product can permanently solidify and store 0.3-0.5 tons of carbon dioxide, greatly reducing the cost of carbon dioxide capture and utilization. At the same time, carbon-negative products with high strength and high carbon sequestration rate can be prepared, which can also use waste during the carbon reduction process, providing carbon emission reduction and renewable resource value for eight high-emission industries such as steel, chemicals, power plants, cement, and non-ferrous metals. Utilizing comprehensive solutions is of great significance to the country in building “waste-free cities”, “zero-carbon communities” and “zero-carbon factories”.

At the founding meeting of the Shandong Province Carbon Negative Industry Development Alliance, the Green and Low Carbon Professional Committee of the China Standardization Association awarded the “Green Carbon Negative Technology Standard Innovation Pilot (CCUS)” to Shandong Dongyuntaibo Carbon Negative Technology Co., Ltd.
