Nature and Description
cycloaliphatic diisocyanate VESTANAT H12MDI, used as A material made of polyurethane with excellent light stability, weather resistance and mechanical properties. It is also particularly suitable for the manufacture of elastomers, aqueous PU dispersions and light-curing polyurethane resins. In addition to its superior mechanical properties, VESTANAT H12 MDI also exhibits excellent hydrolysis and chemical resistance.
Activity and Catalysis
Aliphatic and cycloaliphatic diisocyanates are less reactive than aromatic ones. VESTANAT H12 MDI usually requires an appropriate catalyst to accelerate the urethane reaction, and an organotin catalyst is recommended. (eg DBTDL or DBTDAc)
If the reaction is carried out at a relatively high temperature, there is no need to add a catalyst.
Storage and Shipping
VESTANAT H12MDI is sensitive to moisture. If the influence of moisture can be excluded, it can be stored for at least 6 months without affecting the above-mentioned standard quality.
VESTANAT H12MDI will partially crystallize and deposit at the bottom at a temperature lower than 25℃. In this case, it needs to be heated at 40-50℃ and homogenized before use.
VESTANAT H12MDI is supplied in non-recyclable 200KG barrels.
