INTELLINIUM uses SABIC’s LNP™ STAT-LOY™ modified material to create a new generation of ATEX smart personal protective equipment

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a global diversified chemicals company, and INTELLINIUM, a leading provider of advanced security solutions, jointly announced that they are working together to adopt SABIC’s LNP™
STAT-LOY™ modified materials have successfully developed ATEX-certified personal protective equipment.

SABIC has combined its expertise in high-performance materials with INTELLINIUM’s in-depth insights into safety requirements to achieve a breakthrough in the development of ATEX personal protective equipment, which is an important milestone in the advancement of personal safety technology.

LNP STAT-LOY modified materials meet ATEX’s inherent safety requirements for conductivity, while giving INTELLINIUM the freedom to choose colors and the desired soft touch. This modified material is based on EN IEC
60079-0:2018 and EN 60079-11:2012, designed in accordance with ATEX requirements, and can provide 1G-100G ohms (1E9 –
1E11 ohm) surface resistivity to meet ATEX guidance requirements, while enabling excellent electrical signal transmission rates to meet INTELLINIUM’s requirements for embedded telecommunications technologies (such as 4G LTE-M, 4G
NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC) requirements.
