DuPont launches low-loop body silicone flexible skin adhesive with improved adhesion

Recently, DuPont announced the launch of the new DuPont™ Liveo™ MG
7-9960 Flexible Skin Adhesive. This low-loop body silicone flexible skin adhesive (SSA) with higher adhesion is designed for use in advanced wound care dressings and for adhering medical devices to the skin for long-term wear and gentle removal.

As a globally recognized leader in silicone technology for medical devices, the critical quality attributes of silicone skin adhesives have been identified. These technologies are already widely used in the advanced wound care and scar treatment markets, and now DuPont will further strengthen its existing product series with this new SSA solution.

SSA is non-allergenic, non-irritating and non-cytotoxic, making it ideal for protecting the sensitive and fragile skin of children, the elderly and patients with skin diseases or open wounds.

DuPont developed this adhesive as part of its efforts to expand its portfolio of solutions to support the growing medical device market. The adhesive also enables manufacturers to fine-tune performance to meet the application requirements of medical device designers by adjusting coating weight.
