On October 30, Jiangsu Environmental Protection Public Network released the first public announcement of the environmental impact assessment of Yangzi Petrochemical’s ethylene technology upgrade and reconstruction and downstream new material integration project.
Project Overview
Construction project name:Yangzi Petrochemical’s ethylene technology upgrade and reconstruction and downstream new material integration project
Construction Project Summary: Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. plans to invest 12.012 billion yuan to build Yangzi Petrochemical’s ethylene technology upgrade and reconstruction and downstream new projects in the existing plant of Yangzi Petrochemical Company in Jiangbei New Materials Technology Park, Nanjing. Material integration project.
Project construction content: Including newly built 1 million tons/year ethylene, 500,000 tons/year pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation, 50,000 tons/year hexene-1, 100,000 tons/year POE, 50,000 tons /year polyethylene wax and 100,000 tons / year octene-1 and other 6 sets of process equipment, as well as supporting new or reconstructed public works and auxiliary facilities required for the implementation of this project.
Currently, Yangzi Petrochemical Company has 59 large-scale petrochemical plants with an annual capacity of 12.5 million tons/year of refining, 800,000 tons/year of ethylene, and 1.4 million tons/year of aromatics. It can produce synthetic resins, synthetic fiber raw materials, basic organic chemical raw materials, and refined oil products. , synthetic rubber and other five categories of more than 50 kinds of products.
Yangzi Petrochemical implements the “basic + high-end” polyolefin product development and production strategy, strives to create leading brand products such as metallocene polyethylene, lithium battery separator materials, and strives to be the source of independently developed products such as high-temperature nylon and medical PGA to comprehensively enhance market competitiveness. .
Up to now, Yangzi Petrochemical has developed and produced three new green high-end EVA products, including photovoltaic film materials and foaming resin, and formed a series of new products such as chlorinated polyethylene and lithium battery separator materials to effectively meet the personalized needs of downstream customers. In the past five years, the proportion of new product special materials has remained above 60%.
