With its good properties, foam concrete is widely used in energy-saving wall materials and has also been used in other aspects. At present, the main applications of foam concrete in China are cast-in-place foam concrete insulation layers for roofs, foam concrete face blocks, foam concrete lightweight wall panels, and foam concrete compensation foundations. However, making full use of the good characteristics of foam concrete can continuously expand its application fields in construction projects, speed up project progress, and improve project quality, as follows:
(1) Application of building thermal insulation
Building thermal insulation is the main application field of foam concrete. Currently, 80% of the total foam concrete production is used for building insulation. Its good thermal insulation performance and the policy push for building energy conservation have prompted its large-scale application in the field of building insulation. From a national perspective, the application of foam concrete in building insulation has developed from the initial stage to the comprehensive promotion and application stage, and there will be an application peak within 3 to 5 years.
If all foam concrete is used for building insulation, including roof insulation, wall insulation, and floor heating insulation (or cushion), it is equivalent to wrapping the entire house with foam concrete, and one square meter of building area Approximately 0.2m to 0.5m of foam concrete is required (the roof, floor, and four walls are all calculated with a 5cm insulation layer). A building with a construction area of 10,000 square meters requires 2000m to 5000m of foam concrete. If foam concrete were used in new buildings and existing energy-saving renovations across the country, the demand would be astronomical.
(2) Roof slope
Foam concrete is used for roof slopes. It has the advantages of light weight, fast construction speed and low price. The slope is generally 10mm/m. The thickness is 0.03-0.2m, and foam concrete with a density of 800-1200kg/m3 is used.
(3) The wall is poured on site.
Foam concrete is foamed and poured on-site and used as non-load-bearing walls of buildings, changing the current method of building walls with prefabricated blocks. The wall has good integrity, simple construction, low labor intensity and low cost. At the same time, it has the advantages of light weight, thermal insulation, waterproof and anti-seepage, etc. It is an alternative product to the current traditional wall.
(4) Build sports fields and track and field tracks
Use permeable foam concrete with strong drainage capacity as a lightweight foundation, covered with gravel or artificial turf for sports fields. The density of foam concrete is 800-900kg/m3. This type of sports field can be used for hockey, football and tennis activities. Or cover the foam concrete with a 0.05m thick porous asphalt layer and plastic layer, which can be used as a track and field track.
(5) As a sandwich component
In prefabricated reinforced concrete components, foam concrete can be used as the inner core, so that it has good performance of light weight and high strength thermal insulation. Foam concrete with a density of 400-600kg/m3 is usually used.
(6) Pipeline backfill
Abandoned underground oil tanks, pipelines (containing crude oil and chemicals), sewage pipes and other cavities can easily cause fires or collapses, so use foam concrete Backfilling can solve these problems at a low cost. The density of foam concrete depends on the diameter of the pipe and the groundwater level, generally 600-1100kg/m3.
(7) Lean concrete filling layer
Due to the use of flexible hoses , Foam concrete has great workability and adaptability, so it is often used for lean concrete filling. If the requirements for thermal insulation are not very high, use a lean concrete filling layer with a density of about 1200kg/m3 and an average thickness of 0.05m; if the requirements for thermal insulation are very high, use a lean concrete filling layer with a density of 500kg/m3 , the average thickness is 0.1-0.2m.
(8) Support of the tank foot
Pour the foam concrete steps on the bottom of the steel storage tank (containing crude oil and chemicals) The bottom of the feet can also form a convex foundation if necessary, which ensures that the support of the entire tank bottom is in the best stress state during welding. This continuous support allows the storage tank to use a thin plate tank bottom. The convex foundation is also easy to clean. The usage density of foam concrete is 800-1000kg/m3.
(9) Landscaping application
The foamed cement can be made into a bulk density of 600-1000kg/m3 and can be used as handrails in gardens. , rockery, stools, tables, etc.
(10) Foam concrete can also be used for insulation filling of fire walls, sound insulation floor filling, tunnel liner backfilling; and isolation of power supply and water pipelines.
(11) Insulation of pipelines and thermal equipment
At present, the demand for insulation materials for thermal pipelines and thermal equipment in China is 2.5 million m3? /year, just one power plant needs 20,000-50,000 m2 of insulation material? In winter, the demand for insulation materials for heating pipes and factory heating pipes in the north is even more alarming. The current leading product, mineral wool-based inorganic fiber, makes people’s skin itch, is highly absorbent, and is expensive. It is in urgent need of replacement. Foam concrete will also make a difference in this regard. Around 1957, China used Soviet technology to produce and apply 60,000 m? Foam concrete thermal pipe insulation shell, used in Dalian Power Plant and FengfengThe sand must be filtered out of the water as quickly as possible. Using foam concrete as the water filter layer is fast and good, and has great promotion and application value across the country. Others such as water quenching slag, industrial residues, etc. can use this filter plate.
Industrial machinery filter layer: Foam concrete is made into the filter element of the filter. It has low cost and good water filtration effect. It can replace the expensive and difficult to make foam ceramic filter element.
(21) Breathable grass planting floor
Permeable bricks are also breathable bricks. Water permeability and breathability allow plants to grow under the foam concrete floor and grow to the ground through the pores to form green vegetation. The United States has taken advantage of this and developed cast-in-place coverings for foam concrete garbage dumps, cast-in-place coverings for slope protection of highways, railways and dams and river banks, and sand-proof coverings for sandy soil. Grass can still grow after being poured with foam concrete, which solves the contradiction between covering concrete and greening and growing grass.
(22) Fireproof door core
Fireproof door is a large lifting door designed to cut off the spread of fire in mid- and high-rise buildings. It is an essential fireproof structure required by building regulations. China’s current There is a construction market demand of about 600 million yuan every year. The new fire door standards implemented in March 2009 have raised the fire protection level. The original products do not meet the standards. All manufacturers are developing foam concrete fire door cores. This market is in urgent need of supply but does not yet have satisfactory products, and its development prospects are particularly promising.
(23) Fireproof board
Foamed fireproof board has stronger fire resistance. After foaming, the density is reduced to 800kg/m. It is lightweight and has great market advantages. . Some companies in Beijing, Shandong and other places have used our foaming technology to produce fireproof boards, which has been very successful and has great promotion significance.
(24) Application of impermeability and waterproofing function
Closed-cell foam concrete is hydrophobic, and when water drips, it will have a lotus leaf dewdrop effect, so it has excellent impermeability and waterproofing. Pouring or laying foam concrete in all parts of the building that require waterproofing, such as roofs, basements, bathrooms, etc., can eliminate the need for waterproofing agents and achieve permanent waterproofing, overcoming the shortcomings of waterproof coatings that easily fall off and fail. Using it to replace waterproof materials has low cost, long life and is more competitive. In water conservancy projects such as canals, pools, water towers, swimming pools, underground military projects, tunnels, embankments, fish ponds, artificial lakes, etc., foam concrete can be used for masonry or pouring, eliminating the need for all waterproof materials. It is both a structural Materials, and waterproof materials have great advantages.
(25) Application of anti-chloride ion erosion in underground and water projects
In soil or water with high chloride ion content, the base, foundation piles, bridge piers, etc. of concrete projects are all Possible exposure to chloride ions. If a protective layer of foam concrete is built or poured on the outside of these engineering structures, since the foam concrete is impermeable to water, chloride ions will not be carried by water and corrode the concrete. This technology is currently used in China.
