Bayhydrol® A 2846 XP is a self-crosslinking hydroxyl functional polyacrylate dispersion Body, developed for the preparation of one-component and two-component clears and surfaces as well as pigmented basecoats and pigmented topcoats. Coatings based on Bayhydrol® A 2846 XP have good chemical resistance, high film hardness, good early sandability and rapid pressure tack resistance. The chemical resistance of Bayhydrol® A 2846 XP can be improved by adding anionic hydrophilically modified polyisocyanates, such as Bayhydur® XP 2655. Bayhydrol® A 2846 XP can be formulated with polyurethane dispersions and other acrylic dispersions after testing for compatibility with specific products. Bayhydrol® A 2846 XP is especially recommended for wood coatings.
