Features and advantages: The additive moderately reduces surface tension while improving slip Enhances leveling and shine. As a silicone additive, it prevents the formation of Bernard vortices. BYK-331 has improved substrate wetting and anti-blocking properties.
Recommended Purpose
BYK-331 can be used in all water-based, solvent-based and solvent-free systems, And it is especially recommended for automotive coatings, architectural coatings, wood coatings as well as printing inks and paper varnishes. In two-component polyurethane systems, it can also be added to the hardener component.
Suggestions Dosage
0.025-0.2% additive dosage (as supplied) based on the total formulation.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, the optimal dosage needs to be determined through a series of experiments .
Join Methods and processing instructions
This additive can be added at any production stage, including post-addition. For ease of addition, it can be pre-diluted.
special Reminder
Unlike ordinary silicone fluids, this additive is “user safe”. However, before use, a series of tests should be conducted to confirm the foam stability of the additive, and to evaluate its tendency to recoat and crater.
