a. Product features and advantages

This additive has both high efficiency and good performance in various systems and application fields compatibility. Excellent long-term stability at high and low temperatures. Effective in both paint and clear coat systems, suitable for all gloss levels and common systems. Due to its good compatibility, the additive has only a slight tendency to cause surface defects (craters, haze) and is easy to incorporate. BYK-093 can be used in combination with other defoamers for zero-VOC and low-VOC coating systems containing solvent-free resins.

c. Recommended dosage

0.3-1% additive dosage (as purchased) based on the total formulation. In certain cases up to 1.5 %.

This additive can be added at any point in production. Addition requires only low shear and can also be added as a post-additive.

This additive can be added at any point in production. Easily added to dissolution apparatus under low shear. It can also be added later.
