Product Introduction
PTMG 1400 (polytetramethylene ether glycol) is based on THF (tetrahydrofuran) polymerization Reacted nominal 1400 molecular weight diol. The enhanced reactivity makes it ideal for use with polyurethanes.

Purpose
PTMG is widely used in the production of conventional polyurethane elastomers, such as spandex fibers, artificial leather coatings, thermoplastic polyurethane ( TPU), thermoplastic polyester elastomers and others (adhesives, foams, etc.).
Save
PTMG is hygroscopic, absorbing moisture will affect the reactivity of polyurethane and the physical properties of the resulting polymer . Material should be kept in an airtight container in dry conditions away from direct light sources. The recommended storage temperature is 40~45°C. Open drums must be closed tightly immediately after material is removed
Packaging
200kg steel drum;
ISO Ton Barrel
Precautions for use
PTMG has a very low acute toxic odor and has no obvious health hazards to users. However, normal industrial hygiene standards should be observed when handling this chemical. Proper protective clothing and safety glasses must be worn to avoid unnecessary exposure and accidental ingestion. In case of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. In case of eye contact, seek medical attention.
Security
PTMG polyether glycol will burn under certain conditions, if heated to decomposition temperature, it may explode. Polyol fires can be extinguished with water fog, carbon dioxide or dry chemical.
