Solubility/Dilution
Desmodur® IL 1351 general and ester Solvents such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, 1-methoxypropyl acetate-2 and aromatic solvents such as toluene, xylene, Solvesso® 100 and Shellsol® A have good miscibility. However, the storage stability of the prepared solutions must be tested. Immiscible with white spirit. Alcohols can react with Desmodur® IL 1351 and should therefore not be used. Solutions with low base material content will appear cloudy and precipitate after prolonged storage. Polyurethane grade solvents (less than 0.05% water) should be used. These solvents should not contain reactive groups.
Compatibility
Desmodur® IL 1351 is compatible with Desmophen® products, such as Desmodur® 1300, RD181, 1100 and Desmodur® L and N.
Features/Applications
Desmodur® IL 1351 can be combined with e.g. Desmodur® 1300 to obtain very Fast-drying paint system. These systems are used in the furniture industry because they require short drying times and early sandability.
Save
Desmodur® IL 1351 is sensitive to moisture and should therefore be stored in its original container In an airtight container. The recommended storage temperature is 0°C to 30°C. Storage at elevated temperatures will result in an increase in viscosity. Under proper storage conditions, this product has a shelf life of at least 6 months.
Safety: Hazard Identification
This product is flammable and harmful to health if inhaled. Skin contact and inhalation may cause a sensitization reaction. Repeated exposure to this product can cause dry, cracked skin. The Product Safety Data Sheet (028634) must be strictly followed, which contains information on labelling, transport, storage and disposal of the product, product safety and ecological impact.
, turbidity and precipitation will appear after long-term storage. Polyurethane grade solvents (less than 0.05% water) should be used. These solvents should not contain reactive groups.
