VAc improves the heat sealing performance of the film, increases the gloss of the film, and reduces the haze.

EVA resin with a VAc content of 5% to 7.5% is used in the ice bag film. VAc can prevent the low-temperature embrittlement of the film and keep the ice bag flexible in the hot and cold environment of compression.

EVA with a VAc content of 10% to 20% can be used to make films for various purposes. The film has high transparency, good impact resistance and toughness, good thermal stability, low air permeability, and low shrinkage at low temperatures. , good printability, physiological harmlessness and other advantages. Packaging film is the largest market for EVA.

EVA resin with a VAc content of 10% to 12% and LLDPE resin are co-extruded to produce stretch films (EVA/LLDPE/EVA), which can replace shrink films and be used for container packaging and disposable strapping. EVA The layer has excellent adhesive properties.

The co-extruded film of EVA resin and barrier resin PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride) with a VAc content of 9% to 15% is used for packaging of fresh meat, processed beef and poultry. The function of the EVA layer is to ensure the heat sealing strength and heat shrinkability of the fresh meat bag. Compared with LDPE, EVA has a lower melting point; compared with LL-DPE, its shrinkage is more uniform. Therefore EVA copolymer is the best choice material for this application.

When the VAc content is 15% to 18%, the EVA film can also be used as a heat-welded layer in co-extruded films and blended with homopolymers. The uses of EVA in the category of security films also include extrusion and pasting on polyester, celluloid and PP films used as cheese wrappers; EVA and gold-plated polyester films are co-extruded or laminated for use in bags inside boxes to replace tinplate cans ; Medical films and other applications with strict requirements.
