Solubility/Dilution
Generally, it has good miscibility with the following solvents, but the storage stability of the prepared solution must be tested.
Desmophen® C1200 can be diluted with esters, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons and ether esters. Solutions with low binder content can cause turbidity and precipitation after long-term storage.
Urethane grade solvents should be used (water content < 0.05%, no other active impurities).
Compatibility
Desmophen® C1200 can be mixed with many Desmophen® and Desmodur® products. Considering the wide variety of products that can be mixed with it, the compatibility of the products should be tested before use.
Application
Coatings and sealers prepared with Desmophen ® C1200 and aliphatic isocyanates have good weather and hydrolysis resistance. Other uses include decorative coatings, sealers and sealants.
Save
Desmophen C1200 is hygroscopic and should be stored airtight in the original container. When stored in the original container under proper conditions, this product has a shelf life of at least 6 months.
Storage at low temperatures may form crystalline deposits. The crystals can be melted by slow heating at a temperature not higher than 60°C.
